Kelly G. Walechka, 53, of Carney, passed away on Thursday, May 20, 2021 and is now resting peacefully in Jesus waiting for the glorious resurrection morning. He was born on July 20, 1967, the son of Ralph Walechka and Joy Palmgren. He was raised in Gourley Township and graduated from Carney Nadeau High School. On May 4, 2007, Kelly married the former Andrea Loew at the Allegan Seventh Day Adventist Church. Kelly worked in farming, construction and fabrication jobs throughout his life and was an honorary life long fireman. He enjoyed gardening, splitting wood, and seeing people come to know the Lord Jesus Christ. Kelly loved the Lord and made Christ his supreme object of worship and valiantly strove to be in a right relationship with Christ. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Wilson. His wife, Andrea, was a Bible worker and Kelly faithfully supported her mission work. Survivors include his father, Jim (Vivian) Walechka; mother, Joy Palmgren; wife, Andrea; daughter, Emily; brother, Jeff (Stephanie) Walechka of Carney, MI; mother-in-law, Janice Loew; brother-in-law, Martin (Pam) Loew; and aunts, uncles and several nieces and nephews. Kelly was preceded in death by his grandparents. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 23, 2021 from 5 to 6 p.m. (Eastern Time) at the Crawford Funeral Chapel in Bark River. The funeral service will follow on Monday, May 24, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. (Eastern Time) at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Wilson officiated by Pastor Tom Hubbard. Burial will take place in Wilson Seventh Day Adventist cemetery. A message of condolence may be directed to the family by visiting www.crawfordfuneralhomes.net.
