On Friday, May 14, 2021, Judith Gayle Puckett of Fayetteville Georgia, the loving wife and mother of seven children passed away at the age of 76. Judy was born on January 2, 1945, in Durham, North Carolina, to Roy and Minnie Barbee. She was married to the late Charles David Lindbloom in 1965 and had three children, David, Dale, and Dawn. In 1968 Charles was declared MIA in Vietnam. Judy married John Patrick Puckett in 1970 and adopted the role of mom to his two daughters, Kristy and Kathy. Together John and Judy had two daughters, Sherri and Patricia. Judy was a member of McDonough Road Baptist Church. She was employed as an operator for Southern Bell and retired as an accountant for Howard Martin. Judy loved life and loved her family. She enjoyed sewing, reading, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was never too busy for anyone that needed her and opened her door and her heart to everyone. She had a heart of gold and the spirit of a warrior. She suffered numerous medical setbacks but always made every effort to overcome these obstacles with a smile on her face and faith in God. She is preceded in death by her mother, Minnie Carden Barbee, father, Roy Hillard Barbee, brother, Gary Lee Barbee, late husband, Charles David Lindbloom, and great grandson, Noah Fuller. She is survived by her current husband of 51 years, John Patrick Puckett, brother, Butch Barbee, children, David, Kristy, Dale, Dawn (Shannon), Kathy, Sherri and Patricia, grandchildren, Robyn (Rusel) Erika, Laticia (Timothy), Kara (Lucas), Tiffany (Michael), Cody, Antoine, Kerrick, Grady, Bryce, Trinity, Faith, Killian, Abbie and Jacob, great grandchildren, Chandler, Thomas, Jonathan, Parker, Madilyn, Keegan, Torie, Malachi and Kevin. A funeral service will be held at 2:30 PM on Monday, May 17, 2021, at the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville, Georgia, with Dr. David Chancey officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM on Sunday, May 16, 2021, at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Westminster Memorial Gardens in Peachtree City, Georgia.
