Rose Manna Petrarca, 106, of East Haven died peacefully at home on March 6, 2021 with her loving daughters by her side. She was the wife of the late Armand Petrarca. Rose was born in New Haven on May 13, 1914 a daughter of the late Antonio and Grace Carrozza Manna. She had worked at Brewster’s Shirt Factory and later at Ohmer’s Bakery in East Haven. The job she loved most was in sales at Macy’s. Family, friends and faith were very important to Rose. She loved following the Italian traditions she grew up with. Rose is survived by her daughters Sr. Rita Petrarca, ASCJ and Frances McGinnity, her son Tim Petrarca and his wife Martha, her sisters Palmina Vitagliano Noble and Anna Quiello as well as by numerous loving nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son-in-law Richard McGinnity, sisters Carmel Prete, Victoria Petrillo and Angelina Ferrigno and brothers Alphonse and Frank Manna. Visiting hours will be Friday morning from 9-10:30 Am in the Iovanne Funeral Home, Inc. 11 Wooster Place, New Haven. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Pio of Pietrelcina at St. Vincent dePaul Church, 80 Taylor Avenue East Haven at 11am. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven. Masks and social distancing are required at all services. Memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Manor 261 Benham St. Hamden, CT 06514.
