Peters, John "Jack" Paul beloved husband for 45 years to the late Mary Barbara Peters (nee Hoffmeier). Dear father of Susan (Jerry) Manastyrskyj, John “Jay” (Sue) Peters and Ellen (Dan) Griffin. Cherished grandfather of Marko Manastyrskyj, Michael Manastyrskyj, Jack Peters and Natalie Griffin. Loving brother of Margaret (the late Eugene) Masur and Henry (Fran) Peters and the late Jane (Chuck) Kishman, Angela Stabler, Betty (Hubert) Neff, Joseph (Helen Ann) Peters, David Peters and Stephen Peters. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Jack passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at the age of 92.
He was a graduate of Elder high school and a proud veteran of the Korean War where he served in the Army Infantry 25th Division, 35th Regimen, Company I, in operation Tropic Lightning. After returning from war, Jack received his BS in Business Administration at Xavier University. He worked at General Motors, Norwood Division, in traffic management where he retired in 1986. Jack was an avid horse racing fan and enjoyed playing the ponies with family and friends.
Due to Covid-19 and the state mandate, masks and social distancing are required at the visitation and Funeral Mass.
Visitation will be Sunday, November 22, 2020 from 3 pm till 5 pm at Neidhard-Minges Funeral Home, Harrison
(10385 New Haven Rd., Harrison, OH 45030). Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, November 23, 2020 at 11 am at St. John the Baptist Church (10010 Carolina Trace Rd, Harrison, OH 45030). A graveside service will be held 11 am on November 28, 2020 at River View Cemetery (3635 E Laughery Creek Rd, Aurora, IN 47001).
