Robert Kenneth Salazar, 52, passed away November 15, 2020 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was born November 18, 1967 in Colorado Springs to Jose E. and Avelinda (Gallegos) Salazar. Robert was a printing warehouseman and a veteran of the United States Army, stationed at Fort Huachuca, Fort Sam Houston (Beaumont Army Medical Center), Fort Carson and in Korea with the 2nd Infantry Division. Robert loved Tejano and Spanish music, the great outdoors, gambling and all sports, but most especially the Denver Broncos. In his youth he was a great athlete at Palmer high and North Junior High, making many friends along the way. There was not an animal he didn’t love, most of all his Coco. Robert will always be remembered for his smile and his big caring heart for those less fortunate than him. Robert is survived by his parents; brothers, Jerome A. (Sally) Salazar and Paul Salazar; sister, Juanita (Tom) Pacheco; three nieces, Mara (Scot) Andreano, Ariel (Clay) Jones and Faith Pacheco; and one nephew, Luke (Kasey) Salazar.  Visitation, 6:00PM-7:00PM, Monday, November 23, 2020, The Springs Funeral Services, 3115 East Platte Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80909. Attendees will be capped at 75 people and masks/facial coverings are required. A Private Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, November 24, 2020, The Springs Funeral Services. A Private Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, November 24, 2020, Pikes Peak National Cemetery, 10545 Drennan Road, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80925.
