Rebecca Lucinda Andrews Brooks, of Millsboro, DE peacefully passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on October 20, 2020. She was born in Durham, NC on February 3rd, 1923 and was the youngest of 15 children. She grew up in Durham where she would later meet her husband W. S. Brooks. They moved to the Suburbs of Washington, DC where they would raise their family. She was a loyal employee that gave more than 50 years of service to Weaver Brothers Insurance in Chevy Chase, MD. She was an active member of Aspen Hill Christian Church and her church family meant the world to her; Bob and Mary were chosen family. Most Mother’s Days, it brought her great joy to receive the rose that was dedicated to the Mother who was responsible for bringing the most family members to church that Sunday. Her large family brought her great pride and joy! She loved nothing more than to be surrounded at family gatherings by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and all of their spouses. Secretly she loved being the center of attention! For more than 30 years she lived with her daughter Marge (Bob) and her family. She loved to travel with them in the RV and loved to see new places. She loved their dog Coty and always wanted him by her side. Being on the move with family brought her joy! She loved vacationing with her son Donald (Holly) and their family and going on many Church Retreats in Bethany Beach, DE with Ellie (Joe) and family and Julie (David) and Susie. She cherished her visits with her son Michael (Liz) and family and was always excited to hear visitors were coming. Visiting back home was always made so special by Larry and Martha they generously hosted the entire family. She is preceded in death by both of her parents, her loving husband W.S., all of her 14 siblings and 1 great grandchild.
