Marie A. Hardy, 80 years of age, Hope, NJ, went home to be with the Lord on April 8, 2020 at her home surrounded by loving family. Daughter of Peter and Madeline (Tron) Costantino, she was born on January 25, 1940 and raised in Hope, NJ. She was a graduate of Hope Elementary School and Belvidere High School, NJ class of 1958. She worked at Land of Make Believe, Hope, NJ in its first season and later at Paragon Candle Co., in Hope, NJ, also as a nurses aide at Warren Haven Nursing Facility, Oxford, NJ. She was very creative, a self-taught artist and loved making new crafts and creations. She was a vendor at the very first Hope Christmas Craft Market in Hope, NJ and for many years to follow including 2019. She was a member of Grace Community Church of Hope, NJ. She loved her church family and loved teaching children about the Lord at vacation Bible School. Her favorite verse Isaiah 41:10. "Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not be dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." She was a loving mother and survived by two sons, James Hardy, Jr, and significant other Donna, Marksboro, Peter Hardy, Hope, NJ, 3 daughters, Kim Santomartino, husband Victor, Belvidere, NJ, Dawn Decker, husband George, Hope, NJ Holly Hardy, Hope, NJ, daughter-in law Shelley Tarr. She was a loving " Meme" (Grandmother) to Keturah Sassaman, husband Brian Frelinghuysen, Tyler Hardy, Colts Neck, NJ, Nicholas Santomartino, Andover, NJ, Marissa Hardy, Hope, NJ, Catherine Decker, Hope, NJ, two great grandchildren, Fox and Vienna Sassaman, Frelinghuysen, NJ, a sister Alma Costantino, Blairstown, NJ. She was predeceased by the love of her life husband, James Hardy Sr., brothers, Henry and Arthur Tron, Aldo and John Constantino, sisters, Rose Colfax, Gloria Bianchi and Madeline Kittle. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marie's memory to Grace Community Church, P.O. Box 490, Hope, NJ, 07844 There are no services scheduled at this time. A memorial service will be held at Grace Community Church, Hope, NJ at a later date.
