Megan was 23 years old, born November 2, 1996 in Royal Oak, MI to Michael and Katherine Lam. Megan grew up in Birmingham, MI, and had recently moved to Austin, TX. She graduated from Seaholm High School, and continued her education at the University of Michigan as an Evans Scholar. She graduated with honors in 2018 from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business with a concentration in marketing. Following graduation, Megan worked for Oracle and, most recently, with Google. Golf was a central part of Megan’s life. She loved the game dearly. Megan played on the Seaholm golf team, and was the team captain her senior year. She led the team to two division titles during her high school career. She was also a dedicated caddie at Oakland Hills Country Club where she formed many wonderful friendships. Megan also enjoyed the creative aspects of her life, and especially liked to draw and sketch. She was an accomplished piano player, and won many competitions, including the Annual Great Lakes Regional Contest by the American Guild of Music. Megan was the beloved daughter of Michael Lam (Shirley Lam) and Katherine Brede (Scott Brede), and the loving sister of Kevin Lam. She will also be missed by many other dear relatives and friends. The funeral service will be private, and a public memorial service will be planned for a later date at A.J. Desmond & Sons (Vasu, Rodgers, & Connell Chapel), 32515 Woodward (btw 13-14 Mile), Royal Oak, 248-549-0500.
