Our beloved father, Edmund John O'Hara, passed away at Brookdale Broadmoor Nursing Home in Colorado Springs, Colorado on March 17,2020 at the age 92. Edmund "Ed" was born November 6, 1927 in Chicago, Illinois. He served his country in the United States Navy in World War ll. Ed married Elaine Rita Lewis, with whom he had three children: Colleen O'Hara, James (Rebecca) O'Hara, also Kevin O'Hara who preceded him in death. He also leaves behind four grandchildren. Ed worked for the Pacific Railroad, and Northern Illinois Gas Company in Lombard, Illinois. He was a member of the VFW, Post # 3143 in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. Ed was known for his funny wit and calling Bingo weekly. Ed also marched in annual parades and was proud to be an active member of the VFW he loved. Ed is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Phyllis O'Hara. He has five step-children, Raymond Baumgardner, Patricia Baumgardner, Mary Gish, Chuck Baumgardner and Carla Werner; Ed leaves behind many step-grandchildren as well.November 6, 1927 - March 17, 202011/06/192703/17/2020
