Robert “Bob” F. Turcotte, 76, of Poland Spring, passed away peacefully at his home on March 18.
He was born March 11, 1944 in Biddeford, the son of Frances and Annette Turcotte.
He grew up in Biddeford and graduated from St. Louis High School in 1962.
On Sept. 22, 1968, he married the love of his life, Beverly Sargent. Together they were blessed with three wonderful daughters and made their home in Poland Spring.
Bob was employed for many years at Cumberland Farms and also ran a video tape rental business until he retired a few years ago.
Of his many favorite past times, Bob enjoyed working at home outside in his yard, loved bass fishing and was a great NFL enthusiast. Bob was a connoisseur of Hollywood Movies, new and old alike, and enjoyed sharing his reviews of each. He also prided himself on his political insights and enjoyed heated opposing view discussions with both of his son-in-laws. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Bob was the best Dad to his three girls. He always gave more love then he had.
Though he never weighed more than 140 lbs., you will not find a bigger man.
He is survived by his daughters, Michelle Binette and her husband, Paul, of Leeds, Melissa Haley and husband, Seamus, of Gray, Debra Turcotte, of Poland Spring; sisters, Nancy Turcotte of Biddeford and Rachel Turcotte of Biddeford; and his four grandsons, Tristan and Tanner Binette, and Keegan and Liam Haley.
