She was called home to be with the Lord after a long wonderful life of much joy and blessings. Her love for Jesus allowed her to pass peacefully clinging to the cross as she entered her heavenly home. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, David Wesley Graham (Pete); parents, Pearl Elizabeth Craig King and James Tollie Killgo; brothers, William Charles Killgo and James Artis Killgo and sister, Vaude Killgo Langston. She is survived by her 3 children; Son, David Graham Jr. and wife Lola, Daughters; Glenda Brooks and husband Vernon, Linda Wilson and husband Fred; 10 grandchildren, 23 great grand children and 4 great-great grand children; 1 brother; Jimmy King and 5 sisters; Mary Ann Howell, Mary Jane Eidson, Martha Roberts, Ann Flournoy, and Jann Rothrock, several nieces and nephews and many life-long friends. She was born in Elkhart, Texas to Pearl Elizabeth Craig King and James Tollie Killgo. She graduated from Elkhart School District where she attended all twelve years. She met David “Pete” Graham at a “Ring Play” party and married him January 7, 1950. Soon after, they moved to Houston where they spent their entire 67 years of marriage. In 1951, she became the proud mother of beautiful twin daughters, Linda and Glenda, and in 1959, she was blessed with a son, David Graham Jr. She loved to camp, play dominoes, shop, watch sports, but mostly, she loved spending time with family sharing life and drinking coffee. She left a rich and enduring legacy and a lifetime of memories and love. Family was what was important to her. She taught by example what it meant to honor God in raising your family and pointing them to Jesus. She came to know the Lord early in life and served him until the day she died. She was a member of Munn St. Baptist Church for 62 years, loving and serving Jesus and the members of the church. She was a God-loving woman, a cherished wife, mother and grandmother, and a friend to many. She also attended Grace Grace Community Baptist Church the last three years of her life and loved the people of the church. She had a contagious love. She was a good friend and loved much. She served her family and made memories that will be cherished a lifetime. She centered her life around Jesus and believed in the power of prayer. Although the family mourns her loss, they celebrate her life and are comforted in knowing she is in the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ and one day, they will be reunited with her again. Friends are welcome to join the family for visitation at 10:00 a.m. before the funeral service which will begin at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 5th, 2020 in the chapel of Carter-Conley Funeral Home.
