<p>Richard Paul Lesure, 77, of 47 Mill Street, Adams, MA, died Sunday, July 15, 2012 at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born in North Adams, MA on June 20, 1935, the son of the late William and Alice (Kegresse) Lesure. Mr. Lesure attended schools in North Adams and graduated from Drury High School in 1954. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving in the Korean War from 1954 to 1956, and in Germany for 18 months.</p><p> Mr. Lesure was employed with General Electric in the Power Transformer Division in Pittsfield, MA and was last employed in the Naval Ordinance Division of General Electric, retiring in 1991. He was a former communicant of Notre Dame Church of Adams, MA and a member of the GE Quarter Century Club, GE Pensioners Club, and Local IUE #255, where he was on the Executive Board for 12 years and served as Treasurer for 4 years. He was a Life Member of the Adams VFW Post #1995, was active in Youth Groups and Boy Scouts of America. He was an avid golfer, fisherman and sportsman. He was a member of the Greylock Community Club in North Adams, MA and loved traveling for the past 20 years.</p><p> Mr. Lesure is survived by his wife, the former Anita Aubin, whom he married November 3, 1956, as well as one daughter, Kathleen Anne Lauth of Florida, MA and one son, Paul Lesure and his wife, Diane, of North Adams, MA. He also leaves four grandchildren, Thomas Lesure, Joseph Lesure, Daniel Lauth, Bryan Lauth, and one great-granddaughter, Caitlyn Rose Lauth, as well as nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. He is predeceased by a son, John Jay Lesure, who died May 29, 1977, and three brothers, John, Russell, and William Lesure, Jr.</p><p><br></p><p>FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Richard Lesure will be held on Thursday, July 19 at 10:00 A.M. at Pope John Paul the Great Church of Adams, MA. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
