<p>The family announces with sorrow, his death in Sudbury, Sunday, March 21, 2010 at the age of 83 years. Son of the late Theodore and of the late Alexina (née Ouellette) Lapierre. Beloved husband of Jeannine Lapierre (née Fournier). Loving father of Michel (friend Diane) and Gilles both of Sudbury, Sister Gisèle Lapierre (S.C.O.) and Suzanne Canaj (Flamur) both of Ottawa and Paulette Carrière (Edward) of Val Thérèse. Dear brother of Thérèse Labelle (late Ivanhoe) of Val Caron. Predeceased by his sisters and brothers, Maria, Claurilda, Bertha, Simone, Joseph, Albert and Georges. Sadly missed by his grandchildren, Nathalie Gregoire (Stéphane), Julie Carrière (Craig Depatie), Eric Carrière, Annibale Canaj and his great-grandchilren Alexandre, Sofie and Blake. Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 4570 St-Joseph Street, Hanmer Wednesday from 2-5 and 7-9:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 25, 2010 in St-Jacques Church, Hanmer.
