<p> Walter A. Jakielski, 83, of Pleasant Prairie, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 8, 2015, at his home surrounded by his family.</p><p> Born in Joliet, IL, on June 26, 1931, he was the son of the late Walter J. and Mary (Ceranski) Jakielski.</p><p> On September 22, 1950, he married Lois M. Jaskowiak in New Buffalo, MI. She preceded him in death on March 2, 2009.</p><p> Walter was employed as a manager for Commonwealth Edison until his retirement. He loved to garden, fish and was a charter boat captain.</p><p> Survivors include his three children, Walter S. (Kathy) Jakielski of Marseilles, IL, David M. Jakielski of Kenosha and Laura Anne (Robert) Holman-Douglas of Quinton, VA; seven grandchildren, Michelle, Diana (Pablo), Tania (Derrick), Stephen (Lydea), Jacob, Anna and Morgan; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald (Mary) Jakielski of Joliet, IL; and two sisters, Carol (Robert) Terdic of Joliet, IL, and Rita Flickinger of Woodbridge, VA.</p><p> He was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Jeffrey Holman; and a brother-in-law, Jim Flickinger.</p><p> Visitation will be held on Monday, May 11th, at Proko Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 5:00 p.m. Interment will be private.
