Paul M Jakupcionis Obituary

Paul Michael Jakupcionis,70, of Edison, NJ, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Friday, November 26, 2021. He was 70 years old. Born in 1950 to a loving family, Paul was raised in Bayonne, NJ and graduated from Bayonne High School in 1969. He earned his Bachelor's Degree from Newark State College and later a Master’s Degree from Jersey City State College. Paul began his career as an educator, teaching health and physical education. His interest in physical health led him to a successful career as a sales executive in the pharmaceutical industry. After working for over 25 years at Boehringer Ingelheim, he retired as Senior District Manager. He was a valued mentor and friend to many of his colleagues. Paul demonstrated a strong passion for living and enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Paul enjoyed spending time with his family; watching sports, especially the NY Yankees and Giants; listening to music; watching his favorite movies; sharing memories with his cousins; traveling; and soaking in the sun, especially on the beach. Paul had a genuine love for people and took time throughout his days to engage in friendly conversations with anyone he met. Paul is predeceased by his loving parents, Alphonse and Mary Jakupcionis, and his sister, Anita Izbicki, whom he cherished. Paul is survived by his loving wife, Donna (Garibotto), of 48 years; his adoring children, Karen and her husband Rob Reichel of South Plainfield, NJ, and Michael Jakupcionis and his wife Jessica of Oradell, NJ; and beloved grandchildren, Sam & Jillian Reichel and Riley & Dean Jakupcionis. Paul also leaves behind his brothers-in-law, Jim Izbicki and Robert Garibotto (Ruth); his nieces, Meredith Izbicki, Emily Decker, Becky Zisek, and their families; as well as many cousins and lifelong friends. The funeral will take place on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at 10 am at the Costello – Runyon Funeral Home, 568 Middlesex Ave. (Rt.27) Metuchen, followed by a 10:30 am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Francis of Assisi Cathedral in Metuchen.
