Robert Henry Strawn May 06, 1964 – September 28, 2021 Robert Henry Strawn, 57, of Tracy, California, passed away Tuesday, September 28, 2021, due to COVID-19 at the Sutter Tracy Community Hospital. Henry was born May 06, 1964, in Pocatello, Idaho, to Roy Dale Strawn and Tamara Louise Tolman Strawn. He married Ericka Miles on March 10, 2001 at the Tuacahn in St. George, Utah.

Henry graduated from Richfield High School in Richfield, UT in 1982. During his high school years, he participated in drama, speech & debate, band, pep band, accapella choir, and tennis. He won the award of Best Actor at region and state competitions in drama. As a junior, Henry won a gold medal at the state drama competition for his one man play. Henry attended Snow College in Ephraim, UT where he studied theater and enjoyed the college life. Henry served in the U.S. Navy stationed in Norfolk, VA and is a veteran of the Gulf War, having served in Operation Desert Storm on the salvage and rescue tug USS Edenton (ATS-1) off the coast of Libya.

Henry had lots of interests: designing and fabricating iron for fences, gates, and handrails, building computers, YouTube binge watching just to learn something new, shooting fireworks, playing first person shooter video games, learning to play the guitar, keyboard, and harmonica.

Of his various employment opportunities, two that he enjoyed most were as the Scene Shop Manager at Tuacahn Amphitheater where he used his talents and skills in designing and constructing many elaborate and memorable set pieces including the arch in The Sound of Music, the train in Oklahoma!, the set pieces for West Side Story, and set pieces for Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. While working at Tuacahn, Henry became a licensed pyrotechnician which led to a career as the Tracy Operations Manager at Fireworks & Stage FX America where he enjoyed all aspects of fireworks show production and pyrotechnics.

Henry would tell you he was a jack of all trades and a master of none; however, he truly mastered many trades and skills including cooking. Nothing compares to a "Henry Breakfast" or his Chicken Marsala. Henry could fix or build just about anything and was always the first to grab his toolbox and head to a neighbor’s house when they needed help with repairs or when a friend needed help with hanging sheetrock and finishing his newly constructed home. Henry was a hardworking and fun-loving guy. He was a kind man, humble, and a positive person. When everybody [at work] was complaining about their job duties Henry always said, “I’m just glad I have a job.”

Henry is survived by his wife, Ericka Strawn and their dog, Baxter, of Tracy, CA; his brother, Rodney (Cindy) Strawn of Altamont, UT, his sister Mary Strawn of Roosevelt, UT, his sister Crystal L. Strawn (Jared A.) Walter of Bountiful, UT. His two nieces and two nephews, his great-nieces and great-nephew, and many extended family, friends, and coworkers. Henry was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, stepmother, Saundra Sampson Strawn, and his younger brother, Lyle Strawn.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 16, 2021, at Morrison Payne Funeral Home in Burley, ID. Burial with military rights by the Mini-Cassia Veterans will follow at the Marion Cemetery in Oakley, ID.
