Joseph William Boland

Joseph W. Boland, 88, of St. Paul, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 29, 2020. Preceded in death by wife, Patricia Boland (nee Wilde); siblings, Raymond, Delores, Regina, George, and Luke. Survived by, children, Marina (Victor) Perez and Michael Boland; grandchildren, Erin (Daniel), Quetzalli (Paul), Colleen (Taylor), Sean (Jen), and Joshua; great grandchildren, Soraya, Enrique, and Aria; and many other extended family members. Joseph was born and raised in Elkader, Iowa on a small farm until his family moved into town. He met his wife in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and they moved to Minnesota to start his career at 3M. He continued his career in computers at Bemis. He eventually retired to Florida where he fell in love with the ocean. He was an active member of his church and took pride in his Irish heritage. He especially enjoyed times with his friends and family and making people laugh. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 31, 2020 at 3 PM at Mueller Memorial- St. Paul, 835 Johnson Parkway, with visitation held one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Health East Hospice preferred.
